Andrea Vanzo

Bologna, Italymodern classical · post-minimalism · pop · classical
Andrea Vanzo, born in Bologna in 1989, is an Italian composer, pianist, and arranger with Sardinian and Tyrolean roots. His style merges post-minimalism and modern classical music with subtle pop elements into a cinematic musical language that consciously evokes nostalgia, warmth, and emotional stillness. He broke through as a solo artist through viral performances on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube – including spontaneous piano concerts in remote natural settings – amassing over 193,000 followers and more than two million likes on TikTok. In October 2022 he released "Intimacy Vol. 1", a collection of solo piano works inspired by the landscapes of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The follow-up "Intimacy Vol. 2", written between 2022 and 2025, expands this autobiographical sound diary with experiences from touring and newly discovered cultures. Vanzo has composed original scores for short films, documentaries, and theatre productions, and has collaborated with artists including actress Matilda De Angelis and musician Gibran Alcocer. In 2024 he performed eight sold-out shows across London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Milan, and Barcelona. He received a G.A.N.G. Award in the United States for his orchestral reinterpretation of "Song of Storms". On 8 October 2026 he performs at Trui Teatre in Palma de Mallorca as part of the "Intimacy Vol. 2" tour.
