Arielle Free

Arielle Free hails from Stirling, Scotland, and grew up in Glasgow. She started DJing in 2012, cutting her teeth at UK festivals before being handpicked by Ministry of Sound in 2015 to relaunch their radio station in the coveted drive-time slot. In 2018 she joined BBC Radio 1, presenting the Weekend Early Breakfast Show from September 2019 and moving to the weekday Early Breakfast Show in January 2021 — clocking up to 35 hours a week on air, including hosting the flagship dance show "Radio 1's Rave Up". As a touring DJ she has performed at Glastonbury, Creamfields, Tomorrowland, Fabric and Printworks (London), the Warehouse Project, and held two residencies at Hï Ibiza as well as sets at ANTS at Ushuaia Ibiza. Internationally, she has played Brooklyn Mirage, toured Brazil and Australia, and appeared at Elrow Dubai and Savaya Bali. Her production career kicked off in 2022 with "Soul Full" (with Mortimer & Joe Killington, via Defected's D4Dance), "You Can't Stop Me" on Eats Everything's Edible Records, and "Release I Need" on Nervous Records (feat. Kelli-Leigh). In 2023 she released "Feels So Good", collaborated with GotSomeDJ and Icarus on "Levitate", and launched her own label Free Your Mind with the disco-house track "Technicolour Kenny" (feat. Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, sampling Kenny Loggins). The label and its club night are designed as a home for uplifting house music.
