The Banda Municipal de Alcúdia is the municipal wind ensemble of the Mallorcan town of Alcúdia. Under the direction of José R. Pascual Vilaplana – an internationally acclaimed conductor and music director who also leads the Banda Municipal de Bilbao (since 2015) and the Banda Municipal de Barcelona (since 2018) – the ensemble performs a broad repertoire of traditional and contemporary wind music. Pascual Vilaplana is active as a guest conductor in countries including Argentina, Belgium, Germany, England, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and the USA, bringing this international artistic standard to his work with the Banda Municipal de Alcúdia. The ensemble represents the vibrant municipal music culture of Mallorca, performing at local festivities and public concerts, making it a cornerstone of cultural life in the north of the island.
