BB Klaus

BB Klaus represents contemporary experimental improvisation and jazz. The project is best known through its collaboration with Andreas Røysum: the joint album "Quantum Teleportation" was released on 24 November 2023 on the Norwegian label Nakama Records – one of the most respected imprints for free improvisation and avant-garde jazz in Scandinavia. On the recording, BB Klaus (Klaus Ellerhusen Holm) plays Bb clarinet and alto saxophone, while Røysum contributes Bb clarinet and bass clarinet. The album was recorded and mixed by Kyrre Laastad. The music navigates the borderlands between free jazz, chamber improvisation, and experimental composition, driven by a refined sense of timbre and spontaneous interaction. For those open to experimental sounds and contemplative improvisational formats, BB Klaus offers an unusual and distinctive voice well outside the mainstream.
