Big Tim, born Tim Köhler in Mainz, is one of Germany's most prominent DJs and music producers in the electronic dance music scene. Before turning to DJing, he spent over 17 years playing drums and six years on trumpet – a musical foundation that shapes his powerful, rhythmically driven sound to this day. A live performance by David Guetta sparked his passion for electronic music. From 2010 onwards he played at school leaving parties, city festivals, and clubs in Mainz and Wiesbaden before being booked for after-show parties through a travel operator, launching his full-time DJ career.
Today, Big Tim boasts over 150 million streams and multiple chart entries, cementing his place in Germany's dance scene. Hits such as "Alles ist relativ" (DE #83, January 2024) and the collaboration "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" with Heinz Rudolf Kunze (DE #88, April 2024), as well as a remix of "Gianna", highlight his reach.
