Amersfoort, Netherlandship-hop · electronic · reggaeton · dancehall
Bizzey, born Leendert "Leo" Roelandschap in 1989 in Amersfoort, Netherlands, grew up surrounded by music – his father ran a local record shop. He first made his mark from 2006 with collaborations with producer Don Diablo. In 2010, he co-founded the DJ collective Yellow Claw alongside Jim Aasgier and Nizzle, blending moombahton, trap, and dubstep to achieve international recognition. In 2016, he left the group to focus on his solo career. His breakthrough came in 2017 with the viral hit "Traag" (feat. Jozo & Kraantje Pappie), which dominated the Dutch charts. His debut album "November" (2018) solidified his reputation, featuring collaborations with Dopebwoy, Chivv, and more. Further number-one hits followed: "Ja!" (feat. Kraantje Pappie & Yung Felix), "Drama" (feat. Boef), and "Ze Willen Mee" (feat. Hardwell & Lil Kleine). His sound blends hip-hop, electronic club music, dancehall, and Latin influences. In 2019, he won a FunX Music Award and released the album "Tido". Bizzey is widely regarded as one of the defining voices of the modern Dutch urban music scene.
