The C.C. Banda de Música de Capdepera is the oldest cultural association in the Mallorcan town of Capdepera and the musical heart of its community. As a traditional brass band, it has accompanied the region's cultural and festive life for decades – from formal concerts to grand street parades. The band is a cornerstone of the annual Festes de Sant Bartomeu in August, opening the celebrations with a classic parade through Capdepera alongside giants and cabezudos, and performing concerts at Plaça des Sitjar throughout the ten-day festivities. Its repertoire includes Balearic-Catalan folk pieces such as "Gabellins" as well as compositions by Enric Pastor ("Al Mayurca") and Julián Palanca ("Goya"). The ensemble also performs at the Mercat Medieval de Capdepera and regularly appears at the Festes del Carme in Cala Rajada. At the 2016 Santa Cecília concert, conductor Miquel Gayà led works including Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio espagnol". The band has been recognised by local cultural outlet Cap Vermell as the most distinguished cultural association in Capdepera.
