Carme Vives is a singer and composer from Manacor, Mallorca, who accompanies herself on guitar and crafts songs with a strong melodic and emotional quality. She contributed a number of her compositions to the ensemble Reïna, where she writes, sings, and plays guitar. After years of creating songs and performing live with the group, she decided to step out on her own and share the compositions she had been storing away. Her debut solo album – made from a place of introspection and calm, but also of playfulness – gathers pieces written from adolescence to the present day and is set for release in spring 2026. In April 2026 she previewed the project as part of the Esbarzer cycle at the Ateneu 24 de Juny in Girona.
