Cascada is a German Eurodance project from Bonn, founded in 2004 by singer Natalie Horler and producers DJ Manian (Manuel Reuter) and DJ Yanou (Yann Peifer). Horler, daughter of British jazz musician David Horler, grew up in Bonn and was shaped early by icons like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Just 18 months after the group's formation, the debut hit "Everytime We Touch" (2005/2006) launched them into international charts: No. 2 in the UK, No. 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and millions of albums sold worldwide. In 2007, Cascada won the World Music Award as the world's best-selling German artist. In 2009, "Evacuate the Dancefloor" hit No. 1 in the UK, displacing Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror." To date, the project has sold approximately 30 million records on labels including Warner, Spinnin' Records, and Kontor. After Manian and Yanou departed in 2021, Natalie Horler has continued Cascada as a solo project. The fifth studio album "Studio 24" (2024), produced by Christian Geller, draws on disco and funk influences. Recent collaborations include Hardwell, Timmy Trumpet, and Steve Aoki — with whom a remake of "Everytime We Touch" is due in September 2025, its music video filmed on Mallorca. Festival appearances at Tomorrowland and Ushuaïa Ibiza highlight Cascada's enduring international reach.
