Chris Stussy, born Niels Christian Steenbergen in Leiderdorp, Netherlands in 1994, grew up in nearby Leiden, South Holland. His earliest musical influences came from his parents' eclectic collection – jazz, trance and house mix CDs by Dutch DJ Ben Liebrand – before he started DJing at friends' garden parties and birthday celebrations. Since his debut release "Keep Moving" in 2014, he has risen to become one of the leading voices of the Dutch groove-house movement. His records have appeared on Nervous Records (New York), the Parisian label Yoyaku, Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory, Fuse London, PIV and Rutilance Recordings. In 2020 he founded his own imprint Up The Stuss, home to collaborations with S.A.M. and Kolter among others. His single "Desire" has surpassed 43 million Spotify streams, with "All Night Long" and "Midtown Playground" among his other well-known tracks. In 2023 he released the collaborative EP project "Across Boundaries – Sense of Future" with Locklead, and 2024 brought a widely acclaimed Boiler Room set and his Timewarp USA debut. He performs regularly at Circoloco, Awakenings and Creamfields and is a reliable summer fixture in Ibiza, particularly at DC-10. His debut solo album "Lost, Found & Forgotten…" is set for 2026, accompanied by a BBC Radio 1 residency in April 2026.
