Ciro y los Persas

Buenos Aires, Argentinienrock · pop rock · blues · funk
Ciro y los Persas is an Argentine rock band from Buenos Aires, founded in 2009 by Andrés Ciro Martínez – the iconic frontman of Los Piojos, with whom he led one of Argentina's most celebrated rock acts for two decades. After Los Piojos disbanded in April 2009, Martínez wasted no time: the band's first shows took place in December 2009 in Rosario and Córdoba. Their debut album *Espejos* (2010) went double platinum, followed by *27* (2012), *Naranja persa* (2016/18), *Guerras (Un Viaje En el Tiempo)* (2021), and *Sueños (Un Viaje En el Tiempo)* (2023), the latter created with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Mendoza. Musically, the band blends rock and pop rock with blues, funk, jazz, reggae, candombe, and tango. They have sold out the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires, opened for The Rolling Stones, and supported Paul McCartney at River Plate Stadium. Signed to label 300, they tour Europe regularly – in September 2026 they will perform at Sala Es Gremi in Palma de Mallorca.
