The Coral Polifònica de Bunyola was founded in 1967 in the mountain village of Bunyola, Mallorca, making it one of the island's oldest active amateur choirs. The ensemble first gained wider attention through its participation in the National Choral Competition in Sagunto. For decades, conductor Jaume Conti shaped the choir's artistic identity; Aina Verdera has since taken over the baton. The repertoire blends classical polyphony with Mallorcan tradition, including the Cant de la Sibil·la, a medieval Advent chant listed as intangible cultural heritage. The choir marked its 30th anniversary in 1998 with a concert in the parish church and its 50th in 2017.
