Cosculluela, born José Fernando Cosculluela Suárez on October 15, 1980, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, is widely regarded as one of reggaeton's most gifted MCs — earning the nickname "El Príncipe del Verso" (The Prince of Verse) for his exceptional lyrical skills. Growing up in the gated community of Palmas del Mar, he discovered rap at age 12 through cassettes by Vico C. Together with his brother, he bought recording equipment and formed the group KnockOut Trax, which produced music for other Puerto Rican artists under the Invasion Music label.
His commercial breakthrough came in 2005 with "Te Va a Ir Mal" on the compilation *Buddha's Family, Vol. 2* (Machete Music/Universal Latino). In 2009 he released his highly anticipated solo debut *El Príncipe* on Universal Music Latino, featuring Ivy Queen, De la Ghetto, and Jowell & Randy. He also appeared on landmark projects such as Daddy Yankee's *Talento de Barrio* and Don Omar's *Los Bandoleros*. Notable collaborations include "Madura" (2019) with Bad Bunny, as well as tracks with Nicky Jam, Ozuna, Arcángel, J Balvin, and Karol G. In 2021, he signed an exclusive deal with ONErpm through his own label Rottweilas, Inc. With a career spanning more than two decades, he remains a cornerstone of urban Latin music.
