Cumie

Cumie is a singer from Barcelona who has built a distinctive sonic world through her powerful voice and a fusion of world music, tribal fusion, and live electronics. She performs in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, blending traditional elements with original compositions. Among her best-known projects is the Sonica Project (world music / acoustic tribal / live electronic dance) and the collaboration "Percussí o No + Cumie" with the Mallorca-based percussion and world-jazz group Percussí o No. The joint album features marimba, vibraphone, cajón, and world percussion alongside Cumie's multilingual voice. Additional releases include the tribal fusion album "Passion" (12 tracks) and meditation music recordings such as "SA TA NA MA / GURU RAM DAS". She gained further international recognition through her participation in Cirque du Soleil's production TORUK – The First Flight. Cumie is also a member of MuOM, the overtone singing choir of Barcelona. With a performance range spanning intimate acoustic sets to electronically amplified live shows, she is a notable presence in the Mediterranean, including Mallorca.
