Dennis Cruz, born Denis de Galdo Troyano on 28 March 1983 in Madrid, started DJing as a hobby at 17 while studying sound engineering and working in recording studios alongside hip-hop artists and rock bands. From 2010 onwards he released productions on labels such as Deeperfect, Snatch!, Solid Grooves, Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Moon Harbour. His sound merges tech house and techno with influences from funk, dub and Latin music. In 2013 he launched his first label, Lemon-Aid Music, whose debut single "Keep On Trying" kicked off a run of Beatport number-one hits that earned him the title of the platform's 3rd best tech house artist of all time. In 2021 he released his debut album "Roots", a 10-track LP featuring Josh Butler and Leo Wood among others, drawing on funk, salsa, flamenco and disco. Beyond Lemon-Aid, he co-founded the label MÜSE and more recently launched BotaniQ, a genre-open imprint whose debut EP "Way Back" drew praise from Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati. He is also a co-founder of artist agency Loud Creative Agency and one half of the duo GOLFOS alongside British producer PAWSA. Cruz is a regular at venues such as fabric, DC-10 and Hï Ibiza, and has appeared at events including BPM Festival and Amsterdam Dance Event.
