Duo Benciolini Giacopuzzi

The Duo Benciolini Giacopuzzi brings together two of Italy's most distinguished pianists of their generation: Tommaso Benciolini and Jacopo Giacopuzzi. Born in Bologna, Benciolini studied in Verona, Paris, and Lugano, graduating with highest honours. He won the New York Respighi Prize in 2017 and made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2018 with the Chamber Orchestra of New York. He has since performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Suntory Hall Tokyo, and Seoul Arts Center. A professor at the Conservatory of Trento, he has also rediscovered and premiered lost works by Mendelssohn, Nino Rota, and Vivaldi. Jacopo Giacopuzzi is the winner of 14 international piano competitions and has given recitals across the United States, Europe, and Japan. As a chamber music duo, the two pianists combine their individual acclaim into a shared concert programme. On Mallorca, they performed as part of FestMusic Mallorca at Can Vivot with the programme "Entre Folies i Fantasies".
