El Pot Petit
Empordà, Spanienpop · children's music · theater
El Pot Petit is a Catalan children's and family band from the Empordà region, founded in 2009 by Siddartha Vargas and Helena Bagué – originally hired as an entertainment act for a family christening. From those humble beginnings, the duo expanded their line-up, added their own instrumentation and developed a concept that blends music, theatre and educational content. Their Catalan-language songs are written specifically for children and their families, featuring original characters, stories and melodies that speak directly to young audiences.
To date, the group has released several albums: "Canta amb El Pot Petit" (2012), "Ritmes i Rialles" (2015), "A l'Aventura!" (2018), "El Pot Petit 10 anys" (2019) and "Potes Enlaire!" (2024). Live, El Pot Petit stands out for its inclusive performances, including the use of Catalan Sign Language on stage. The band has appeared at the prestigious Cap Roig Festival and performs regularly at family festivals such as TRIBUFEST and Festival Macroclima. In 2025, they launched their very own FestiPOT festival in Sant Pere Pescador.
