Es Revetlers Des Puig D'Inca

Els Revetlers des Puig d'Inca are a Mallorcan folklore group from Inca, founded on 7 September 1986 by around twenty enthusiasts, some of them already experienced in music and dance. The group takes its name from the Puig de Santa Magdalena, the hill with its hermitage above Inca. They wear the rustic 19th-century Mallorcan folk costume and perform traditional dances such as boleros, mateixes, jotas, cotes and fandangos – forms that reflect the island's cultural roots from the Conquista through to southern Spanish influences. Today the association has around thirty active members and runs its own music and dance school to ensure generational continuity. The group is currently led by Mateu Martorell Boned. Every year, the Revetlers organise "Sa Trobada" during Inca's patron saint festivities. Their music is available on SoundCloud and Deezer; documented releases include the album "Revetlers des Puig d'Inca 2015" (April 2015, 14 tracks) and the anniversary album "35 Anys Replegats" (2022), marking 35 years of activity. The group has also performed internationally.
