Ewan McVicar

Ewan McVicar, born 10 January 1994 in Irvine and raised in Ayr on Scotland's west coast, is a DJ and producer working at the intersection of house and Detroit techno. While studying for a teaching degree, he discovered DJing and built a local club scene in Ayr from the ground up, including residencies at Club De Mar and Furys. After graduating, he committed fully to music. His international breakthrough came in 2021 with the debut single "Tell Me Something Good", which broke into the UK Top 20, earned BPI certifications of Silver (2021), Gold (2022) and Platinum (2023), and won both DJ Mag Best of British's "Track of the Year" and BBC Radio 1's "Electronic Track of the Year". McVicar releases on labels including Optimo Music Digital Danceforce, Patrick Topping's Trick collective, and Armada, and has performed at the Warehouse Project (2022) and Australia's Pitch Music & Arts Festival. In 2023 he founded the Pavilion Festival in Ayr, drawing 7,500 ravers on its debut. His sound consciously channels the soulful, raw energy of 90s rave culture.
