Hannah Laing, born on 12 August 1994 in Dundee, Scotland, is one of the most exciting DJs and producers in the British electronic music scene. Raised by rave-loving parents, she developed an early passion for techno and trance, playing her first gig at 18 in a club in Arbroath. That same year she headed to Ibiza, where she secured a multi-season residency at the Highlander bar in San Antonio – honing her craft while simultaneously working as a dental nurse back in Scotland.
Her international breakthrough came with a remix of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's "Murder on the Dance Floor", which brought her worldwide recognition. In 2023, her single "Good Love" amassed over 137 million Spotify streams and reached number 7 on the UK charts. The 6-track EP *Into the Doof*, born from a three-day collaborative session, followed in July 2024. That same year she was nominated for a DJ Mag Best of Britain award and delivered a two-hour Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1.
Laing founded her own label **Doof** – named after the "doof doof" beat at the heart of her music. Her sound blends high-energy techno, hard house and trance with big hooks and euphoric melodies. She has performed at Creamfields, Glastonbury and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, and in 2025 launched her own festival Doof in the Park near Dundee alongside a residency at HI Ibiza.
