HENRY SAIZ

Henry Saiz, born Enrique Saiz González in Madrid, has been one of the most distinctive voices in Spanish electronic music for over two decades. His early productions from 2006 onwards found homes on Global Underground, Renaissance and Bedrock – the latter after John Digweed took notice of his 2009 remix of Guy J's "Lamur" on Bedrock, which also earned an "Essential New Tune" nod from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. In 2008 he launched his own imprint Natura Sonoris, named "Best Label" of 2011 by Deejay Magazine. That same year he delivered the widely acclaimed Balance 019 compilation, woven together from vinyl, cassettes, reel-to-reel tapes and over 100 field recordings he had made as a child. His sound fuses club music with 80s pop and progressive rock into a signature style that defies easy categorisation. In 2016 a successful Kickstarter campaign funded an audio-visual album recorded at locations including Joshua Tree, Lanzarote, Tokyo and Dubai. Releases such as "The Untold", the "Digital Mirages" series and "Eternal Ride" confirm his status as a producer with a world of his own. He has performed at Sónar, Creamfields, Glastonbury, Ultra Miami and EXIT, and hosts the radio show "El Laberinto" on Spanish national radio. He is a regular and highly regarded presence on the Ibiza and Balearic club and festival circuit.
