Hot Since 82 is the alias of Daley Adam Padley, born on 12 September 1982 in South Yorkshire, England. Growing up in Barnsley, he discovered club culture at 14 and began DJing at 17, initially playing 12-hour sets at his local club KGV. Since 2011, he has released music under the Hot Since 82 name on labels including Get Physical, Moda Black, and his own imprint Knee Deep in Sound, which he founded in 2014.
His sound spans deep house, tech-house, and melodic electronic music — energetic, precisely crafted, and built for the dancefloor. His debut album "Little Black Book" (2013) compiled early singles and remixes. The introspective "8-track" (2019), created in the wake of his best friend's death, surpassed 30 million streams worldwide, with proceeds donated to mental health charity MIND. "Recovery" (2020) followed as a collaborative studio album featuring Boy George, Jamie Jones, Rudimental, and Miss Kittin.
Daley is a Beatport all-time top-10 bestseller, a cover star of both Mixmag and DJ Mag, and has delivered multiple BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes. Live, he has performed at Glastonbury, Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Creamfields, and held residencies at Pacha, Space, and Amnesia in Ibiza. His immersive clubbing concept TAKEN has taken him on tours across the globe.
