Josh Baker
Manchester, United Kingdomhouse · minimal-house · tech-house · electronic
Josh Baker hails from Manchester, a city whose legendary underground scene and clubs like Sankeys shaped him from his teenage years. Influenced by Apollonia and Sven Väth, he forged a sound that merges nostalgic house grooves with modern textures — driven by propulsive basslines, rhythmic precision, and vocal hooks that keep the dancefloor moving.
In 2015 he founded the You&Me party brand, which expanded from Manchester to Leeds, Newcastle, and Ibiza, and spawned the record label You&Me Records. He also created the Hide&Seek Festival — featuring artists such as Shonky, Traumer, Francesco Del Garda, and Sidney Charles — and launched SYNTHO, his online education platform for electronic musicians.
Baker has performed at Parklife Festival and venues including Fabric, Warehouse Project, and Pikes, with a residency at Amnesia Ibiza. In 2024 he won the DJ Mag Best of British Award. 2025 marked further milestones: a debut at Coachella, the launch of his new label Baker's Dozen, and the release "Back It Up" (with Omar+), which circulated in advance through the sets of Solomun, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, and MK. Further 2025 releases include "You Don't Own Me" (with Prospa & RAHH) and the EP Come Closer.
