Josylvio

Josylvio, born Joost Theo Sylvio Yussef Abdelgalil Dowib on April 14, 1992, in Naarden, is one of the most successful rappers in the Netherlands. The son of a Dutch mother and an Egyptian father, he grew up between two cultures, a duality that shapes his music to this day: his rap blends Dutch street aesthetics with Arabic influences. Inspired by the gritty style of Tupac Shakur, he launched his career in 2015 under the name Jaybay, releasing the single "Le7nesh" with Sevn Alias. This led to his debut album *Ma3seb* (2016), produced by Esko, which reached number five on the Dutch Album Top 100 and earned him an Edison Award nomination. His albums *Hella Cash* (2018), *Gimma* (2019), and *Abu Omar* (2021) all topped the Dutch Albums Chart. Notable collaborations include tracks with Bizzey, Yung Felix, Sevn Alias, Ali B, and Kevin; "Hey Meisje" with Esko and Hansie racked up over 25 million YouTube views. His sixth album, *Vallen & Opstaan*, followed in 2022. In addition to the Edison Award nomination, he has received the XITE Award and the FunX Music Award.
