KIDD VOODOO

Kidd Voodoo, born David León Urbina, hails from the Maipú district of Santiago, Chile, and has become one of the most defining voices in the country's new music scene. His musical journey began in church as a child, inspired by his grandfather's lead vocals in the choir – by age twelve he had picked up the guitar. In 2016 he co-founded the indie band Resonancia Etérea, blending melancholic indie rock and psych fuzz. The pandemic proved a turning point: instead of rehearsing over WhatsApp, he dove deep into SoundCloud, absorbing trap, plugg, and reggaeton, and drawing inspiration from Puerto Rican trap artists like Alex Rose and Myke Towers. He launched his solo project in 2020, quickly establishing himself in Chile's Latin Trap scene through collaborations with Tunechikidd, Harry Nach, Jairo Vera, and DREFQUILA. His 2022 debut EP "Pa los sátiros Vol. 1," produced by Red Fingers, Swift 047, and Ovyze, featured guest appearances from Santi Valencia, Jairo Vera, and Harry Nach. The Satirología trilogy and Los Rompecorazones Vol. 2 followed. In 2025 he triumphed at the prestigious Viña del Mar Festival, winning both the Gaviota de Plata and Gaviota de Oro, and was named "Artist of the Year" at the Premios Cordillera. Twelve sold-out shows at the Movistar Arena and the international hit "Me Mareo" confirmed his meteoric rise. In 2026 he released Euforia, an ambitious pop-rock album backed by a tour across Latin America and Europe, including a date at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
