La Colla Pirata

La Colla Pirata is a Catalan-language children's and family entertainment group from Spain, blending music, dance and interactive theatre into a vibrant pirate-themed stage show. The crew – featuring the characters Cuca, Polissió, Pinxo and Capità Poruc – turns every performance into a full-on pirate festival, complete with sing-along songs, dances, storytelling and traditional games. Their debut album "Tots som pirates" (2025) carries a clear message: equality and respect as the greatest treasure, regardless of origin, culture or skin colour. Alongside original tracks such as "La Batalla de Ball", "M'estimo" and "Ahoi!", the group delivers "La Balena Po – Wellerman", a completely re-written version of the viral sea shanty centred on a rescued whale's friendship. For the single "IO HO HO!" they collaborated with well-known Catalan children's music act El Pot Petit. La Colla Pirata also performs under the Pepet i Marieta umbrella and has appeared at festivals including the Aplec de Penyagolosa and the Jazz Festival in Tortosa.
