pop · rock · disco
La Movida Band is a Mallorca-based group formed in 2015 with a clear mission: to bring back the golden age of Spanish pop, the legendary Movida Madrileña. Rather than simple covers, the band delivers an authentic tribute that faithfully recreates the originals, spotlighting the vocal versatility of chameleon-like frontman Joan Bagur. The lineup is rounded out by Matías Tortella and Víctor Vidal on guitars, David Trillo on bass, and Leo Villar on drums. Over roughly two-and-a-half-hour sets, the band revives hits by Los Secretos, El Último de la Fila, La Unión, Mecano, M Clan, Duncan Dhu, Los Ronaldos, Miguel Ríos, Alaska, Hombres G, Loquillo, Radio Futura, Tequila, and Ramoncín. Their regular repertoire includes classics like "Déjame", "Sufre mamón", "En algún lugar", "Cadillac solitario", and "Chiquilla". Since its founding, the band has steadily grown, delivering nostalgic, high-energy time-travel experiences at concerts, including shows at Jazzbah in Port de Ciutadella. La Movida Band has become a go-to act on Mallorca for anyone wanting to relive the golden age of Spanish pop and rock live.
