Lalo Garau

Palma, Spainfolk · rock · pop · singer-songwriter
Lalo Garau is a singer-songwriter from Mallorca who quit his job, bought a one-way ticket to Mexico, and spent over a year travelling Latin America with his partner in a van. That journey shaped his debut album "Decisiones Insensates" (2017), a blend of folk, rock and Latin influences. Eight of the twelve tracks were recorded at Santa Ana Studios in Madrid, produced by Pepe Curioni, while four were laid down at Alquimia Records in Palma with Jordi Tugores and Luis de las Heras. The record features notable musicians such as Sebastián Merlín (Jorge Drexler's band), Tato James (Manuel Carrasco) and Pep Lluís García (Blue Jazz Club), alongside collaborators including singer-songwriter Luis Cadenas, vocalist Vero Paz and violinist Llucia Gomila. His second album "Suelo" followed in 2020, then the EP "Verano Raro". More recently he has released the single "Demasiado Bueno" (feat. Manena Duel), "Manu se va" and the EP "LA SANG" (2025). Based back on Mallorca, he performs both solo and with a full band.
