Layla Benitez is a DJ and producer born and raised in New York City of Puerto Rican and British descent. As the daughter of renowned producer and DJ Jellybean Benitez, she grew up immersed in music. Her sound blends Afro House and Deep House with percussion, world harmonics and soul elements, bridging classic and cutting-edge melodies in distinctively reimagined ways. Her sets are known for dark undertones built on groove foundations, over which uplifting and energetic beats unfold. Layla has released music on acclaimed labels All Day I Dream and Crosstown Rebels – two of the most influential addresses in the organic house world. Her debut EP was forthcoming at the time of research. She has performed live at events including the Tribeca Film Festival, Coachella and Zamna Festival, one of the most important electronic music festivals in Mexico.
