Lisandro Aristimuño

Lisandro Aristimuño was born in 1978 in Viedma, Patagonia (province of Río Negro), to a theatre director father and an actress mother. A self-taught musician, he started performing as a singer and guitarist at 14 in local bands before relocating to Buenos Aires in 2001. There he completed his debut album *Azules Turquesas* (2004, Los Años Luz Discos), followed by *Ese Asunto de la Ventana* (2005) and *39°* (2007). His sound blends Argentine folk music with rock, pop, and electronica into a distinctive singer-songwriter language shaped by the landscapes and winds of Patagonia. Subsequent albums — including *Las Crónicas del Viento*, *Mundo Anfibio* (2012), and *Constelaciones* (2016) — were all released on his own imprint, Viento Azul Discos. Aristimuño has won the Premio Gardel, Argentina's top music award, eight times, received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2013, and was honoured in 2015 by the Konex Grand Jury as one of the five most important Argentine singer-songwriters of the decade. He has opened for David Byrne and Sting in Argentina and performed at venues such as La Trastienda and Niceto Club, as well as across Spain and Uruguay. In 2026 he played Sala Es Gremi in Palma and the Mallorca Live Festival.
