Los Enemigos
Madrid, Spanienrock · blues rock · hard rock
Los Enemigos have been one of the defining names in Spanish rock since 1985. Formed in Madrid by Josele Santiago (vocals, guitar), Manolo Benítez (guitar), Fino Oyonarte (bass) and Chema "Animal" Pérez (drums), the band quickly made a name for itself in the local scene — including a first-place win at a Villaverde talent contest that paved the way for their debut album. Their sound blends rock, blues and funk with a distinctly Iberian edge: rugged guitar riffs, introspective lyrics and Santiago's raspy voice became their trademark.
After roughly 20 active years and a split in 2002, Los Enemigos reunited in 2012. Albums such as "Vida Inteligente" (2014) and "Bestieza" (2020) show a band that matured without losing its edge. With "Canciones Chulas," featuring current lineup members Josele Santiago, Fino Oyonarte, Chema "Animal" Pérez and David Krahe, they released their first new studio album in years. To this day, they continue touring across Spain, known for their energetic live performances and raw, uncompromising rock and roll spirit.
