Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Spanienjazz · soul · pop · bossa nova
Marina Tuset was born in 1995 in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Catalonia, and is one of the most exciting voices in the Spanish jazz and soul scene. In 2017, she graduated in Professional Music from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, having previously been awarded a full scholarship in jazz voice at the Conservatori Superior de Música. Since then, she has performed on renowned stages including l'Auditori, the Festival de Pedralbes, the Andorra Jazz Festival, and the Palau de la Música Catalana. Her collaborators include artists such as Rapsusklei, Cyrille Aimée, Marco Mezquida, and Dominican musician Vicente García. Her debut album "Canto a la Imaginación" (2023) moves confidently between jazz, soul, bossa nova, and pop, and was recorded in the home studio of Brazilian producer Érico Moreira — it went on to win the Latin Grammy for Best Engineered Album. An ongoing connection to Latin America, including a mini-tour through Colombia and Brazil, has shaped Marina's distinctive sound, which she herself describes as that of a "citizen of the world."
