Mary Lambourne
Valldemossa, Spanienjazz · bossa nova · flamenco · folk
Mary Lambourne was born in November 1982 in Valldemossa, Mallorca, and grew up in a family where fine arts and music were a constant presence. Her father, artist James Lambourne, shaped her interdisciplinary approach to creativity from an early age. As a singer and composer, she moves between jazz, bossa nova, bolero and flamenco, weaving together voice, composition and visual art into a cohesive artistic vision.
Her album "Marinero en Tierra" (2018) marked an important milestone in her discography. In 2024, she released the acclaimed "Lambourne Project" – an interdisciplinary album that translates her father's visual world into music, poetry and video, published in three languages. Musicians such as Miquel Àngel Aguiló, Carlota Coll and Alfredo Ardanaz contributed to the record.
Live, Mary Lambourne is a regular presence on the Mallorcan stage: performing in Valldemossa, at the Fira B! 2024 and at Binissalem Summer Nights 2026. She has also performed at venues such as El Pesquero and collaborated with pianist Paco Bethencourt. Her repertoire combines deep Mediterranean roots with an open, experimental spirit.
