Morten Breum, born on 26 May 1982 in Aarhus, is one of Denmark's most influential DJs and producers in electronic dance music. Operating under the name MORTEN, he relocated from Denmark to Los Angeles to pursue global recognition. His breakthrough came in 2010 with the track "Domestic", which reached No. 3 on the Danish Singles Chart. He gained worldwide prominence as co-founder of the "Future Rave" genre – together with David Guetta, he developed a sound that fuses progressive house, techno, and big-room energy into a distinctive style. Their collaborative EP "New Rave" (2020) and further collaborations with RAYE, Lanie Gardner, and John Martin have accumulated over 400 million streams. Together with Guetta, he also launched the dedicated Future Rave record label, debuting with the single "Element". Other notable solo releases include "86 Degrees" and "The Drill". MORTEN has headlined clubs such as LIV Miami and XS Las Vegas and performed at festivals worldwide. On the Balearic Islands, he has built a strong presence: in 2024 he was part of the Future Rave residency with David Guetta at Hï Ibiza, and on 27 August 2026 he is set to headline BCM in Magaluf, Mallorca.
