Movicanto

Movicanto is the artist name of DJ Lamberto, a DJ from Lombardy, Italy, with a remarkable background: before discovering music, he worked as an actor and model, and belongs to a family of note – he is a maternal cousin of Nobel Prize-winning playwright Dario Fo. His decisive turning point came in New York, where he immersed himself in the city's vibrant club scene and honed his craft on the legendary Technics SL-1200 turntables. Encounters with American club culture pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan left a lasting mark on his musical vision, rooting him firmly in the sounds of garage house, dance, funk, and soul typical of New York City's clubs. After returning to Italy, he established himself as a resident DJ at some of Northern Italy's most celebrated venues, including Vogue (Milan), Paradiso (Rimini), and Pacha (Riccione). His signature approach – fusing classic and contemporary dance music – also brought him recognition on Ibiza's international scene.
