Mr. Belt & Wezol

Delft, Netherlandshouse · tech-house · deep-house · future-house
Mr. Belt & Wezol are Bart Riem and Sam van Wees, a DJ and producer duo from Delft, Netherlands, active since 2013. Their sound blends tech house, deep house and future house with a signature approach to sample-based tracks, reimagining classics by Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic, Donna Summer and Whitney Houston into contemporary club weapons. Early releases such as "Atlas" (2014) and "Pikachu" (with Oliver Heldens, Spinnin' Records) established their name in the scene, while "Finally" and "Somebody to Love" (both 2015, Spinnin' Deep) broke into the Beatport Top 10. "Homeless" – their rework of Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman" – was officially released in 2020 after years as a free download and ranks among their most-streamed tracks. Since 2014 they have run their monthly podcast, now known as "The Cuckoo's Nest", and they also run their own imprint Rave Culture. Internationally they have played Tomorrowland, Ultra and Mysteryland; on the Balearic Islands they are regular guests, most recently at BCM Mallorca and at Cova Santa and Pantheøn in Ibiza.
