Muerdo is the artistic project of Pascual Cantero, born on 9 December 1988 in Molina de Segura, Murcia, Spain. As a singer, songwriter and poet, he has built a distinctive sound blending reggae, folk, pop, funk and hip-hop with deep Latin American influences. His debut album "Flores entre el acero" (2011) was self-released and gained wider recognition thanks to the support of the legendary singer-songwriter Luis Eduardo Aute. In 2013 he released "Tocando tierra", produced in Barcelona by Amparo Sánchez (Amparanoia) on the independent label Kasba Music, featuring artists such as Pedro Guerra and Lichis. "Viento Sur" followed in 2015, further refining his blend of folk and urban rhythms. "La Mano en el Fuego" (2018) and "La Sangre del Mundo" (2021) consolidated his position at major label Warner Music. In 2023 he released the anniversary album "10 Años de Flores, Viento y Fuego". Collaborations with Perota Chingo and Mr. Kilombo, alongside an extensive Latin American tour from 2019 onwards, underline his borderless approach to music. His latest album "Sinvergüenza" was released in 2024.
