Musikkapelle von Bunyola

The Banda de Música de Bunyola – also known as the Musikkapelle von Bunyola – is the musical heart of the municipality of Bunyola in the northwest of Mallorca, nestled in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana. The brass band brings together musicians of all generations and performs a wide repertoire ranging from classical concert works and traditional Spanish pasodobles to traditional Mallorcan folk music. Combining brass and woodwind instruments, the ensemble has shaped the characteristic sound accompanying community life in Bunyola for decades. The band plays a central role at local festivals, including the traditional Sant Mateu festival at the end of September, celebrated with dancing, theatre and music. Concerts often take place in and around the parish church of Sant Mateu (consecrated in 1756), which provides the ensemble with exceptional acoustics and a unique setting.
