OBK

OBK is a Spanish synth-pop duo from Sant Feliu de Llobregat, near Barcelona, founded in 1990 by Jordi Sánchez and Miguel Arjona. The two met in their hometown and developed a sound inspired by European electronic and synth-pop music of the 1980s. Their debut album "Llámalo sueño" marked their breakthrough and established them as pioneers of electronic pop music in Spain. At a time when electronic sounds were still largely absent from the Spanish mainstream, OBK opened ears to synthesizer-driven pop for an entire generation. Signed to Warner Music Group, they released a string of successful singles, including "Historias de amor", "Falsa moral", "El cielo no entiende" and "Oculta realidad" – songs defined by catchy melodies, electronic beats and heartfelt Spanish-language lyrics. Active for more than three decades, OBK have cemented their status as a fixture of Spanish-language pop and continue to perform live. Their blend of danceable electro-pop and romantic lyrics makes them a stylish choice for Mediterranean stages.
