Obscure Shape – real name Luigi Urban – is a Germany-based DJ and producer celebrated for his fast-paced, hypnotic techno. Together with Marco Bläsi (SHDW) he formed the duo SHDW & Obscure Shape, which grew out of Stuttgart into a fixture of the European underground techno scene. In 2015 the two launched the label From Another Mind, born from a party of the same name, accumulating nine releases from the label heads to date. They also founded Mutual Rytm to spotlight rising techno artists such as Lars Huismann and Alarico. Following the duo's split, Obscure Shape made his solo breakthrough with the "Elemental" EP on Manchester's Cleric's Clergy Records. Musically he navigates techno, ambient and house, frequently performing live on analogue hardware. His international schedule for summer 2026 includes a confirmed appearance at Danzû Festival on Mallorca.
