Olaf Henning

Olaf Henning, born on March 14, 1968 in Bonn and raised in Gelsenkirchen, is one of Germany's best-known Schlager and Discofox singers. Before launching his music career, he worked as an insurance salesman – making his rise to party-Schlager stardom all the more remarkable. Active since 1994, he broke through in 1997 with the single "Ich bin nicht mehr dein Clown". The accompanying album *Die Manege ist leer* (1999) cemented his reputation as a master of danceable, melody-driven Schlager music. His ultimate signature hit, "Cowboy und Indianer" – first released in 2000 and remixed and reissued multiple times (including in 2006 and 2008) – became a genuine line-dance classic. Henning has released music on labels including Ariola, Polydor and H.A.R.D. Records. Among his most notable collaborations are the duet "Freundschaftsring" (2015) with Anna-Maria Zimmermann and joint appearances with Norman Langen. As a live act, he is a regular fixture at major Schlager festivals and party events, including the Regensburg Ole Schlagerparty and the Biathlon World Team Challenge at the Veltins Arena. On Mallorca, Henning regularly features on Ballermann compilations – his blend of Discofox, party Schlager and Eurodance is a perfect fit for the island's festival atmosphere.
