Cem Araci, born on 11 July 1985 in The Hague, is one of the Netherlands' most prominent hardstyle DJs, performing under the name Outsiders. He started spinning vinyl records at the age of 12, a foundation that shaped his explosive, adrenaline-fuelled mixing style. In 2008 he formed the duo Outsiders alongside Murat Meijer; in 2014 Murat left and Cem continued as a solo act. The move proved successful: he went on to earn three gold records and one platinum record in hardstyle. With hundreds of bookings per year both in the Netherlands and abroad, his name consistently appears on the line-ups of the biggest hard dance events. Despite his roots in hardstyle, Araci says he has never encountered a genre he doesn't enjoy — an attitude that keeps his sets energetic and wide-ranging.
