Pedro Pastor
Madrid, Spanienindie-folk · latin folk · nueva trova · cumbia
Pedro Pastor, born in 1994 in Madrid, is one of the most distinctive voices in Spain's indie-folk and Latin folk scene. He comes from a musical family: his father is renowned folk songwriter Luis Pastor and his uncle is singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra. Despite these roots, Pastor has carved out a sound entirely his own. Over more than 20 years on stage, he has performed over 600 concerts in more than 17 countries. His music weaves together the Spanish cantautor tradition with Latin American rhythms such as cumbia and rumba, flamenco influences, funk, and African elements. Lyrically, his songs revolve around memory, identity, social justice, and love, delivered in a direct, poetic language that draws comparisons to Jorge Drexler or Silvio Rodríguez. Together with his band Los Locos Descalzos, he delivers energetic live shows that transcend cultural and generational boundaries. His best-known releases include the albums *Vueltas* (2022), *Escorpiano*, and the anniversary record *10 Locos Años Descalzos* (2026). Collaborations with artists such as Amaral, Perota Chingo, and IZARO highlight his strong ties within the Ibero-American music community.
