Erlangen, Germanyschlager · pop
Peter Wackel, born Steffen Peter Haas on 4 January 1977 in Erlangen, is one of Germany's best-known party Schlager singers, active for over 25 years. His breakthrough came with the track "Joana (du geile Sau)", recorded with DJ Chriss Tuxi, which reached No. 14 in the German charts in 2007 and earned Gold certification. Further Gold singles – "Scheiß drauf! Mallorca ist nur einmal im Jahr" (2013), "Die Nacht von Freitag auf Montag" (2015) and "Ich verkaufe meinen Körper" (2017) – cemented his reputation as a reliable party act. His sound blends traditional Schlager with danceable pop elements and occasional electronic influences, including Hardstyle remixes of his Mallorca hits. Albums such as "Wackelkontakt" (2001, HOTMUSIC) and "Wackel Total!" (2008), as well as the double CD "Ganz Schön Wackelig" (2014, Da Music), document his consistent presence in the genre. The song "Inselfieber" has amassed over 27 million streams on Spotify alone. Wackel performs regularly in Mallorca and has appeared multiple times as the only German singer at the Tomorrowland festival's Moosebar stage in Belgium. In 2025 he celebrates his 30th anniversary on stage.
