Prince Royce

Prince Royce, born Geoffrey Royce Rojas on May 11, 1989, grew up in the Bronx, New York, to Dominican immigrant parents. Spanish was spoken at home, and summers spent with his grandparents in the Dominican Republic sparked his love for bachata. He started writing poetry at 13, which evolved into songwriting. At 19 he met manager Andrés Hidalgo, who introduced him to producer Sergio George — who signed him immediately after hearing just three demos. His self-titled debut album dropped in March 2010 and yielded two consecutive No. 1 hits on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart: "Stand by Me" and "Corazón Sin Cara." His first four Spanish-language albums all topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Royce blends traditional bachata guitar with contemporary pop and R&B. In 2015 he released the all-English album *Double Vision*, featuring Snoop Dogg and Tyga. High-profile collaborations with Shakira, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Becky G highlight his cross-genre appeal. With 22 No. 1 radio hits, 25 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 15 Latin Grammy nominations and over 14 billion global streams, he ranks among the most successful bachata and Latin pop artists of his generation. His catalogue is released via Sony Music Latin.
