Revolver were a London-based guitar band active from 1990 to 1994, comprising Mat Flint (guitar/vocals), Hamish Brown (bass) and Nick Dewey (drums). Flint and Dewey had played together in school bands before moving to London in autumn 1990, where they met Brown and completed the line-up. After attracting interest from Dedicated Records, One Little Indian and Creation Records, the band signed to Hut Records — a Virgin Records subsidiary — in the summer of 1991. They quickly built a following within the London alternative and shoegazing scene, supporting acts such as Chapterhouse, Slowdive, Teenage Fanclub and Blur, and received considerable press coverage. The band dissolved in 1994, but reunited in 2025, announcing comeback shows in Skegness and Nottingham.
