Robin Schulz
Osnabrück, Germanyhouse · tropical-house · deep-house · dance
Robin Schulz, born on 28 April 1987 in Osnabrück, is one of the most successful German DJs and producers of the past two decades. He started DJing at 17 in small clubs across Lower Saxony and ran his own club night by the age of 20. His international breakthrough came in February 2014 with his remix of "Waves" by Dutch artist Mr. Probz – a number-one hit in six European countries, certified platinum in the UK and the USA, and nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording. His follow-up remix of "Prayer in C" (Lilly Wood & the Prick) topped the charts in ten countries and was officially named the "Summer Hit of 2014," making Schulz the first German artist ever to reach number one on the global Shazam charts. His sound – bright pop melodies layered over a deep house framework – helped define the tropical house microgenre. His debut album "Prayer" (2014) was followed by "Sugar" (2015, feat. Akon and Moby), "Uncovered" (2017, feat. David Guetta, Cheat Codes and James Blunt), "IIII" (2021) and "Pink" (2023). Schulz co-founded Lausbuben Records and is signed to Warner Music / Big Beat Records. He performs regularly on major stages worldwide, from Las Vegas and Tokyo to festival stages across Europe.
