ROCIO PORTILLO

Rocío Portillo is a DJ, producer, and singer from Mendoza, Argentina, celebrated for her emotive blend of progressive house, deep house, and melodic electronic music. Growing up in an artistic family – her father conducts a choir – she trained in piano, singing, dance, and theatre from an early age before discovering her calling in electronic music. She also worked as a journalist with a degree in Social Communication before overcoming a five-year battle with leukemia and fully committing to music in 2024. Her sound is built on deep grooves, melodic textures, and live vocal elements woven into hybrid sets. Releases have appeared on Mango Alley, Clubsonica, and Univack, with notable titles including "Sunburst / Duality / Forty Four" (2023) and the "Tukin (Remixes)" (2024). Since 2021 she has also run a band project with saxophonist Karim Sar Sar and multi-instrumentalist Valley (AR). Her first European tour took her across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France, including a hybrid set at The Soundgarden Ibiza Cova Santa. In Mallorca she performed at R33 Palma and has returned to the island on multiple occasions. Across Argentina she has shared stages with progressive house legends Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, and John Digweed – and in July 2025 opened for a Cattáneo B2B Nick Warren set on Ibiza.
