Rumbombe
Mainz, Deutschlandschlager · pop
Rumbombe, born Robin Maximilian Mayer in 1990 in Mainz, grew up in the nearby village of Nackenheim. His path to music led through the German rap scene – Sido's track "Mein Block" sparked his interest in writing lyrics in German. Professionally, he started out as a media designer and web developer before turning his focus to performing. Since 2020 he has been building his fanbase on Instagram and TikTok; the idea for the artist project was inspired by a podcast about the Bierkönig club in Mallorca. As a party Schlager singer, his style is shaped by hits such as "Layla" by DJ Robin & Schürze and "Dicht im Flieger" by Julian Sommer – catchy melodies, celebratory lyrics, and a beach-bar vibe. His best-known releases include "Mallorca mein Zuhause" (feat. Mia Julia), "Micaela" (feat. Micaela Schäfer), and "Wascheberg" (feat. Jonsen). "Mallorca mein Zuhause" in particular went viral in Germany and has become a staple at parties. Blending classic party Schlager with a strong social-media presence, Rumbombe has established himself as a recognisable name in the German Mallorca-Schlager scene.
