Samu Aleksi Haber, born April 2, 1976 in Helsinki, is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He rose to international fame as the frontman and lead vocalist of pop-rock band Sunrise Avenue, which he shaped from the earlier project Sunrise – co-founded in 1992 with Jan Hohenthal. After years of persistence and 102 rejected label pitches, the debut album was recorded with financial help from friend Mikko Virtala. Sunrise Avenue went on to sell over two million albums and two million singles worldwide; Haber wrote all the band's songs, alone or with collaborators, including international hit "Hollywood Hills". Following the band's indefinite hiatus in 2022, Haber launched his solo career in both Finnish and English. His Finnish solo debut "Enkelten kaupunki" (2020, Capitol Finland) was followed by "Sä" (2022, #3 Finland) and the collaboration "Purjeillas" with Finnish rap duo JVG (2023). His first English-language solo album "Me Free My Way" showcased his broader musical range. In 2026, he is set to perform as support act for Robbie Williams at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, underlining his growing profile in German-speaking markets.
